A strong Salem side cut Etsifi 11 Tigers to size when they won 2 – 0 in the final group A game on Sunday afternoon in the ongoing Nana Special Homecoming Gala at Bisease Roman Park.

Two second half goals from veteran defender, Kofi Shaka and new import, Richard Aboagye for the Salem side were enough to seal a vital victory that has taken them to the last four of the competition.

Etsifi was widely tipped to win the game, having showed a strong performance in their opening game against the Odumase, to make their intention of winning the tournament clear. They however make it to the Semifinals. Thanks to the opening game victory.

Salem on the other hand needed only a win to stay in the competition, and they did the needful by over a strong Etsifi side to top the group.

The pocket of disagreement that precluded the game could not mar it’s beauty having the two side putting up their best performances.

The semifinals of the competition will be played on Sunday, 1st August, 2021, when Salem takes on Nyatsiadze with Etsifi taking on Group B leaders, Station.
