The ‘mother’ of all vocal critics much more aggressive than Jonas Twene releases her first ‘video’

The hardship in the country is boiling over into something and it looked as if the arrest of Efia Edo has not done the government any favor, but rather it opened the cloud of discontent in the country to rain and cause a flood.

Jonas Twene and Kelvin Taylor have started theirs hiding in America under the protection of the most capable systems in the world to speak what they called, the harshest truth to power.

However, in Ghana the mother of all vocal critics much more aggressive than Kevin Taylor and Jonas Twene is live hitting the walls of social media from Akatsi in the Volta Region.

This shouldn’t make you ran away from a bullion van stay and take the money. Akatsi is home to one vocal lady, Ella Abotsi, who also in her latest write up fires the president for practicing autocracy on his watch.

In the late hours of yesterday after Efia Odo was arrested Enyonam visited the social to fire hard at the president for preaching virtues and doing otherwise.

She also demands that the president should remove all coronavirus restrictions and ordered him to desist from bathing in the sky so that he can have time to fix the insecurity and economic hardship in the country.

July 2021

Enyonam also has some words for the police which were very harsh, all this and much more are contained in the video below.

It Is Her Right: She Is A Ghanaian - NPP’s Kate Gyamfua Demands Justice Over Burnt Excavators

Kate Gyamfua, the National Women’s Organiser of the governing NPP has vowed to seek legal redress over the burning of her excavators and other mining equipment by members of ‘Operation Halt’.

Her spokesperson, Ernest Yaw Kumi told Adom FM that, the action by the officials deployed to clamp down on galamsey activities is in breach of laws governing the mining sector and also in contravention of directives issued by the Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Samuel Abu Jinapor.

Madam Kate Gyamfua will use all legal means to defend her right and her company as a citizen,” said Yaw Kumi.

He said they are willing to engage government and responsible sector ministers to ensure the right thing is done.

Members of ‘Operation Halt’, a military task force on Sunday, May 16, 2021, raided some mining sites in Larbikrom, Dompem and Pamen, all in the Atiwa District of the Eastern Region.

As part of the raid, they destroyed over 20 excavators while other mining equipment was set on fire as part of efforts to crack down on illegal mining in the Eastern Region. Now You Can Practice Chinese Kung Fu At Homeshine.cnby TaboolaSponsored Links

Kumi insisted Kate Gyamfua’s Xtra Gold Mining Limited has not been involved in illegal mining activities.

He noted, the military task force destroyed 9 excavators and 1 washing plant that belonged to Xtra Gold Mining Limited adding that Xtra Gold Mining is a large-scale mining operator and has the necessary documentation to prove it.

Meanwhile, Kennedy Agyapong, the Assin Central MP, has alleged that a number of top government and NPP officials are involved in galamsey.

“I pity President Akufo Addo because, for this fight, if the president doesn’t clean his house, we will not win. If you see the number of top NPP officials involved in galamsey whom I tried to fight and lost, you’d be shocked,” Kennedy Agyapong said on Net 2 TV recently.

The vociferous MP also supported the burning of excavators seized, indicating that “they [military task force] have to burn the excavators or some will go and sell them in Cote D’Ivoire, if not then give them back to their owners”, Agyapong said.

He continued, “I know a lot of MCEs who are involved. President Akufo-Addo, you have to clean your house first; if not we will never win the fight.

“The NDC are also involved. I have said this and if anyone challenges me, I will mention names because they are sabotaging the president.”

Israel’s New Challenge: Violence Among Its Own Citizens

Arab and Jewish Israelis are increasingly clashing with one another; ‘an existential threat’

LOD, Israel—Rockets fired by Hamas flew into Israel throughout the week, slamming into towns like Lod and Bat Yam. Another complicated challenge is coming from within, with neighbor turning against neighbor in an escalation of communal violence that Israel’s Arab and Jewish citizens haven’t seen for decades.

Fixthecountry: Claim Of Phone Cloning False And Baseless – Oppong Nkrumah

Information Minister, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has denied claims that National Security operatives cloned the phones of the conveners of #Fixthecountry campaign.

One of the conveners, Oliver Barker-Vormawor in an interview on Joy Newsfile programme alleged that “when we left the meeting, we had credibly established that one of our representatives, the only person who was using an Android phone, his phone was cloned. And that all the messages and conversations we were having on our platform, he could no longer assess. So what we did was we flashed his phone immediately.

We discovered just this morning, that calls from his phone were being diverted to another phone. When we searched for it online through True Caller, it’s called ‘Monitoring’ on Vodafone”

However, Information Minister in a statement said it is a normal practice for the “phones of all visitors” to be “kept at the reception of the Ministry of National Security. The Ministry has no basis to and did not tamper with the phones of the convenors”

Akufo-Addo Hasn’t Changed; He Just Needs Time To Fix The Country – Gideon Boako To Ghanaians

Fix The Country

” . . Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo hasn’t changed. He’s the same Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo,” Dr. Gideon Boako, Spokesperson for Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has told Ghanaians.

According to Dr. Gideon Boako, President Nana Akufo-Addo will need time to fix the country stressing his second term just began.

Making his submissions on Peace FM’s ‘Kokrokoo’ programme, he asked Ghanaians not to lose sight of the good works of the President in his first term, citing some good policies like the free SHS, payment of allowances among others.

Dr. Gideon Boako also reminded Ghanaians of the impact of the Coronavirus pandemic on world economies, for which Ghana has also been badly affected and therefore will take a gradual process to get the nation back on her feet.

He, however, empathized with Ghanaians over their plight but believed the President is on the right track to improving their living conditions.

He called on them to exercise patience with the President saying ” . . Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo hasn’t changed. He’s the same Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo. It’s the same Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and the same government that had the good heart to improve the lives of the citizenry that is in power again…and is in action to adopt good policies to continue improving the lives of the people.”

It Will Cost Government US$10 Billion To Fix All Roads In Ghana-Ofori-Atta

The Minister of Finance, Ken Ofori-Atta, has estimated that it will cost government US$10 billion to fix all dilapidated roads in Ghana.

The Minister said this when responding to a question from the media on Sunday, during the Minister’s press briefing.

The question was relevant following agitations by the #Fixthecountry. campaigners calling the government to fix the country’s bad road network.

The Minister recounted some of the social intervention services provided Ghanaians, especially the vulnerable during the COVID-19 lockdown including provision of free electricity to one million lifeline consumers, supply of free water to households, free distribution of food packs to the vulnerable and evacuation of stranded Ghanaians abroad.

He reiterated government’s commitment to immunize about 20 million Ghanaians with COVID-19 vaccines, as it had begun bilateral discussions with global partners to secure the vaccines.

Mr Ofori-Atta said government will, this month, start rolling out eight additional interventions under Ghana’s Coronavirus Alleviation and Revitalisation of Enterprises Support Scheme (Ghana-CARES) programme, to create more jobs and boost the Ghanaian economy.

The 100-billion Ghana cedi programme, also known as “Obaatanpa” would witness the implementation of various projects in the health, agriculture, tourism, trade, digitization and technology as well as housing and social services sectors.

Mr Ofori-Atta said government would also begin the implementation of $250 million Jobs and Skills Development programme to create jobs in the private sector businesses, instead of expanding government employment schemes.

The Minister said, in the coming days, his outfit would collaborate with the Water Resources and Sanitation Ministry to address water challenges, especially in the urban centres to ensure regular flow of potable water from the taps.

It would also work collaboratively with the Ministries of Transport and Roads and Highways to tackle traffic congestion on the highways.

In July this year, he said, a new Development Bank would be set up to provide long-term financing to the private sector through commercial banks.

Mr Ofori-Atta noted that despite the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the Ghanaian economy, the rate of growth of the public debt had been lower under the Akufo-Addo-led Government than under previous administrations.

“The rate of debt growth was lower despite massive investments in our flagship programmes such as the Free Senior High School Policy, Planting for Food and Jobs, NABCo, One District, One Factory, One Village, One Dam, restoration of teacher and nursing trainee allowances, while maintaining macroeconomic indicators and exchange rate stability,” Mr Ofori-Atta emphasised.

“We were elected not to complain or compare, but to get things done. To fix what is broken and Government and I are determined and committed to do just that,” he assured.

The Minister underscored the need to keep the healthy conversation and dialogue on fixing the economy going so that “we can have a collective action to deal with the country’s challenges”.

He announced a hashtag ‘Fix this together and save our country.

Ghana Loses $200m To Untapped Online Forex Trading Market

Forex Analyst and Founder of Women in Forex Ghana, Gifty Annor-Sika has estimated the cost of underutilization of online forex trading market to be US$200 million annually.

Speaking on the Market Place with Charles Ayitey, Gifty Annor-Sika warned of prospective fiscal losses to the Ghanaian economy if instruments are not introduced to regulate the market.

“The market is barely regulated. Non-existence of regulation and exact policies have made the venture into online forex trading illegal. This has bred a whole cartel of black market operatives. In all, US$200 million has been lost by the state for its failure to regulate the space,” she revealed.

Forex trading is still green in Africa especially West Africa. There are few individuals engaged in it and currently people are beginning to venture into it in Ghana.

The Ghana Stock Exchange is yet to begin trading in that space, whilst the cedi is not tradable due to its constant depreciation on the global market. The GSE is limited to stocks and bonds, and this limitation has impacted negatively on the Ghanaian economy and its currency.

The good news however is that the Securities and Exchange Commission announced in 2020 it is embarking on a collaboration with Bank of Ghana to design an initiative a forex trading market which would allow the capital market regulator to regulate and give license to enterprises dedicated to forex market traders in Ghana.

This is because foreign investors are currently eyeing Ghana for such engagements.

This will give a legal backing to carrying out trading activities on domestic trading platforms.

The team from the Formed Police Unit could be seen at the Square with several of their water cannons.

Founder and leader of the Economic Fighters League Ernesto Yeboah reacting on the issue on social media said: “We are coming with placards, they are coming with hot water cannon machines. How backward. How oppressive. How against the people.”

“A state that chooses to oppress rather than liberate. To suffocate rather than enliven. This is why #WeAreAngry and marching to #FixMotherGhana.”

The Police over the week secured an ex-parte injunction preventing the organizers from holding the Protest.

The Police had argued that the restrictions on mass gathering due to the outbreak of the Covid-19 were still in force.
